Activities close to Millau and the Gorges du Tarn

As you cross the majestic Millau Viaduct, you enter a land of traditions and authenticity. Few regions in France offer landscapes as spectacular as the South of Aveyron. In this land of vast rocky plateaus of austere beauty, the waters of the Tarn and the Jonte have carved out sumptuous gorges, dominated by dizzying cliffs where vultures nest. Here, time seems to have had no hold on the stone villages nestled in a meander of the Tarn or perched in the Dourbie valley, nor on the medieval cities that the Templars built on the Larzac causse.

A region of outdoor sports (hiking, mountain biking, paragliding, climbing) and white water sports (canoeing, rafting, canyoning), Aveyron is also a gourmet region where you can taste Roquefort, the king of cheeses, Aligot as well as local charcuterie.
